St Andrews is one of the premier Futsal schools on the Gold Coast. We are proud to offer a comprehensive Futsal program that has gained recognition for its excellence both regionally and nationally.
In 2022, our Open Boys team showcased their outstanding skills and determination by winning the prestigious Australasians competition, competing against teams from across the country.
Opportunities to Represent St Andrews
Under 8 to Under 18 Representative Futsal
Our College provides aspiring Futsal players with the opportunity to join our Representative Futsal program. Starting from Term One and culminating in the highly competitive Australasians competition in Term Four, our Under 8 to Under 18 students can participate in this program to develop their skills, enhance their game understanding, and compete at a high level. This program serves as a platform for talented players to represent our College and showcase their abilities on a national stage.
Regular Participation in Competitions
St Andrews actively participates in the Southern Lutheran Associated Primary Schools (SLAPS) Touch carnival, nine-a-side competitions and the prestigious Bill Turner Cup. These competitions allow our students to gain valuable match experience, test their skills against strong opponents, and further develop their football abilities. We encourage our students to embrace these opportunities to challenge themselves and represent our College with pride.
Futsal and Football Electives
In Year 7 and Year 9, students have the option to select Futsal and Football as subject-based electives. These specialised classes provide a focused learning environment where students can refine their technical skills, tactical knowledge, and teamwork under the guidance of experienced staff. By integrating Futsal and Football into their timetables, students have the chance to deepen their passion and excel in these sports.
