Concert Band

Welcome to the world of Concert Band, where the blend of instruments creates an unforgettable musical experience. Comprising students from Years 7 to 12 who have been playing on their chosen instrument for two years or more, Concert Band is a testament to dedication, skill, and the magic of collective music-making. Most Concert Band students are also taking individual lessons from one of our Performing Arts teachers or a tutor outside of the school.

The Concert Band differs from a Jazz Band in repertoire and orchestration. The band uses a wider range of instruments and therefore can explore a larger variety of music, including movie themes, jazz, classical works, folk songs and marches.

  • Time: Thursdays 7:30am to 8:20am 
Performance Opportunities

The band has a number of performance opportunities each year including Music Nights, Arts Fair, Performing Arts Evenings, Community events, and the Gold Coast Eisteddfod.
