Position Objectives

We are seeking one full-time and several casual Educators for our Early Learning Centre (ELC). The incumbents will work in conjunction with the Teacher/Lead Educator in charge, to plan, implement and evaluate a program of routines and developmentally appropriate activities which all provide for the development of the children in a stimulating and caring and secure environment.

Key Functions, Accountabilities, Responsibilities and Deliverables:
Responsibilities:
  • Implement engaging play-based activities that promote holistic development.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment where children feel safe to explore and learn.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators and parents to support each child's individual needs and interests.
  • Maintain a clean and organised classroom conducive to learning and exploration.
  • Uphold health and safety standards at all times.
  • Follow policies and procedures of the service.
  • Uphold Christian Ethos of the Service.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children aged two and a half to three and a half years preferred.
  • Passion for early childhood education and a deep understanding of child development principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Relevant qualifications in early childhood education Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood.
  • Hold a Positive Blue Card
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current Child Protection Certificate
